Come
and have a look inside our four star rated self catering holiday cottages! |
Each
cottage can sleep four adults in two separate bedrooms. Modern kitchens
and bathrooms are
fully equipped (see accommodation). All linen is
provided free of charge and the beds are made up with duvets for
your arrival. Towels are available for hire for £3 a set. There's a colour TV, CD and DVD player in the sitting room and the woodburners
are fuelled and ready to go
other than in high summer!
On
the south side of the cottages is a large mown-grass playing field,
but not too near the cottages for noise to be a problem. This is
a safe area having no direct access to the lane outside. Ideal for
football, cricket, bike riding, frisbees, flying kites, tennis etc.
Within the grounds we have laid out grassy trails and tree-lined
paths leading to picnic spots and viewpoints. Children (and adults!) can enjoy a quiz treasure trail throughout our fields and woodland walks.

those who would like to keep in touch with work or families whilst here

| Fishguard
is our nearest town. Only a 5 minute drive away it has everything
you would normally need for your holiday whether for supplies, art
and crafts, church, sport, excellent eating or entertainment. A little
further up the coast, Newport is about 6 miles away from us with its
galleries, superb restaurants and craft shops. On the way there you
will see a sign to Cwm Yr Eglwys where there is a charming sheltered
beach which has a 'Famous Five'
feel about it! At Newport things
are on a grander scale and you can drive straight on to the beach
if you wish. |

|
In
the other direction towards the small cathedral city of St Davids
you will find Porthgain, about 25 minutes' drive away. It possess
a lovely little 18th-century pub with good food by the side of an
old port of great interest to the industrial archaeologists, and of
course those who just love the beautiful North Pembrokeshire coastline.
Porthgain is a good place from which to start discovering the Coastal
Path. |
| There
are excellent walks in the Gwaun Valley (from half-hour to two hours
plus) without having to take the car. Back home here, feel free to
explore the grounds which extend to 22 acres and include hilltop views
to the sea or shaded bluebell walks (in season!). If you wish you
can celebrate your efforts with refreshments at the local pub, just
a few minutes walk away from Garn Cottages. |
